The polarization cell is a component of cathodic protection systems for pipelines and tanks. It blocks DC current while allowing AC current to pass. Payesh Sanat Novin manufactures it in liquid and solid-state (PCR) types. Both are defined according to NACE SP0177, NACE SP0286, IEC 61643-11 and IEC 62561-3, with AC fault current ratings from 3.7 to 14 kA. The threshold voltage is ±1.2 V (standard) for the liquid type and −3/+1 V or −2/+2 V for the solid-state type. The enclosure is built in ordinary and explosion-proof models and can be mounted on a pipe stand or bracket.
