In cathodic protection systems for pipelines, junction (bond) boxes connect anode beds and negative drain points to the cabling network. Payesh Sanat Novin manufactures them as positive, negative, test, reference and general bond boxes, in ordinary and explosion-proof models. The number of terminals and the box dimensions are determined by the number of input and output cables. The enclosure can be made of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum or hot-dip galvanized steel, and steel boxes are protected against atmospheric corrosion with single-layer or three-layer electrostatic painting. Boxes can be fitted with a shunt, variable resistor, ammeter and switch, and mounted on a pipe stand or bracket.
